A brief stop in Perm, near the Ural mountains. From here eastwards Siberia starts.
A bunch of new recruits for the Russian army came to the train. The people in the background are friends and relatives saying goodbye.
Stops didn’t last longer than 30 minutes, but fresh food (like the apples down right) could be bought from the babushkas (old women) hanging out on the platforms.
